Dr. McBride is a native of Virginia and served several years in the Virginia Army National Guard including overseas for Operation Enduring and Iraqi Freedom. In between tours, he attended the University of Virginia and graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in 2007. He then received his MD from Eastern Virginia Medical School where he was awarded membership in the Alpha Omega Alpha and Gold Humanism Honor Societies. Dr. McBride completed urology residency training at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill where he learned advanced techniques in robotic, endoscopic, male prosthetic and reconstructive surgery. He then completed a fellowship in microsurgery, male reproductive medicine, and infertility with Dr. Larry Lipshultz at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, TX. He is a member of the American Urological Association (AUA), Sexual Medicine Society of North America (SMSNA), American Society of Reproductive Medicine (ASRM), and the Society of Male Reproductive Medicine and Urology (SMRU). Dr. McBride has a passion for improving men’s health and related disorders rooted in his own experiences with infertility. He and his wife, Sarah, proudly have a daughter and son, they enjoy spending time outdoors hiking, skiing, and traveling.
