Meet James Thomasch, MD
James Thomasch, MD, is a skilled, board-certified urologist at Urological Associates in Colorado Springs, Colorado. He has over a decade of experience and specializes in stone disease, urologic oncology, da Vinci® robotic surgery, minimally invasive surgeries, and reconstructive urologic procedures.
Dr. Thomasch grew up in Long Island, New York, where he met his wife. He earned his Bachelor of Science in biology from Boston College in Newton, Massachusetts. He then spent five years in North Carolina working as a research analyst at a biomedical research laboratory at Duke University in Durham, North Carolina. While there, he and his wife acquired a love of the outdoors. They alternated between visits to the Atlantic ocean and the mountains.
Dr. Thomasch completed his medical degree at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (UNC). He finished his medical training with a general surgery internship and urology residency at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee.
During his training, Dr. Thomasch learned from leaders in pediatric urology, urologic oncology, and endourology, with an emphasis on da Vinci robotic surgery and other minimally invasive techniques that treat complex urologic disorders. He’s board-certified by the American Board of Urology.
In his free time, Dr. Thomasch spends time outdoors with his wife and three sons. He enjoys caring for patients at Urological Associates and welcomes them to the practice.
